I tried though

I knew it
Maybe too late to correct but I've got a 'feature'. When the orbiter drops below 50,000ft there is a speed hike.

Now that’s interesting. I wonder where that comes from. I’ll look into this…

Found it, it’s the wind:
There was a bug in the function that computes the wind speed for each altitude, and it set the wind speed to 0 above 50,000 ft.
I’ve fixed it.

Is the problem desktopsimmer found because wind isn't taken into account above 50,000ft? Once the orbiter drops below that level it does feel it and responds suddenly. By changing the value of the wind and the direction you get jumps/drops in speed that seem reasonable for that theory?

And, just to clarify, what are we counting as 40kt crosswind? Does I have to be at 90° or is it just enough to trigger the warning? I'm not giving up yet!

EDIT: Just seen Sascha's response about the wind speed problem, has that problem always been there?

Let. It. Go. :)
And yes, 90 degrees 8-)

Good question. I don’t think so. I’ll check the git to see when I added that particular feature.

If Tom gets a million on 40kts 90° cross wind landing, should Sadcha rename the achievement after him :D

The closest I've got is landing on centreline and in the touchdown zone, but I had about 245,000 lbs on one of the gears...

I’ll add a new runway and name it the “Tom Watts Space Center”. Middle name or initials? Thomas? Thomas X. Watts Space Center… ;)

Got and screen darking bug (this is unconfirmed). This happened during a flight. One minute after getting the 20% battery warning, the screen went dark. I've been unable to reproduce the error.
