Build 266 (2.8 RC5)

UNREAD_POSTby Sascha » Tue Apr 02, 2013 7:25 pm

A new build is ready.

It fixes the bug where every notification (e.g. timer alerts, calls, battery warnings) would cause recordings to stop. (See discussion thread for build 264)

I’ll run a few tests and probably make a new launch attempt tomorrow…
5 release candidates ought to be enough ;)

Aaarrrggghh.
Compiled it with the wrong version of Xcode.
OK, I should better call it a day and upload a new build tomorrow, sorry.

:)

I remember a coding night, I was stuck with a Java compiling problem and couldn't get to sleep before the problem was solved. But it wasn't so I moved to bed. The next morning, in less than 10 minutes I found the bug :D

There are lots of F-Sim videos of YouTube, and that’s great. But unfortunately they have either been captured on a jail broken iOS (that allows video capture, but the quality is horrible) or filmed with video cameras aimed at the iPad’s screen (which isn’t optimal either). Time to see some high quality 1080p clips…

You need to download the latest iOS version then. This gives you the capability of creating video clips. Then in photos you can upload to YouTube. ;)
