Update to 1.2 now available

UNREAD_POSTby Sascha » Wed Mar 10, 2010 9:58 am

The first update for F-SIM Space Shuttle is now available on the App Store:

With this version you can:
*Dive through a layer of clouds;
*Fly night approaches;
You can configure the visibility now, and the head up display has been updated to include the runway overlay.
This version also includes several small improvements and some minor bug-fixes.

I hope you like it.

PS:
Replays and an external view are on top of my todo-list, but will take some more time.

Very nice, I'll have a look at it as soon as I get a fast internet connection... !

Maybe you could change a screenshot in the description of the app with one with a night approach ?

Can't wait to be home =D !

[Edit] Of course, I'll post a review of the update on my blog ;)

Sure, I'll update the screenshots later today.
Of course, I'll post a review of the update on my blog

Thank you!

Please rate it in the App Store too, they count the ratings for each version separately. :)

wow, the night landings look superb.
the clouds also are good, haven't tried them out quite thoroughly yet though.

congratulations on the update and thank you.

PS. if you don't want to answer, i understand completely. but i would be interested how many f-sim apps have you sold? do you track pirated versions? if so, are they in significant quantities compared to the sold?

Thank you!

if you don't want to answer, i understand completely. but...

Aw, heck, if Firemint can post their sales figures, so can I! ;)

The average went up a little and it's been almost 8000 downloads now (in six weeks, so it's about 190 each day). I guess this is pretty good 8-)
It's obvious that something like F-SIM will always be a niche product, but if sales stay on that level I'd be more than happy!

I have no way of tracking pirated versions - but they only run on jailbroken iPhones and estimates are that about 10% of users jailbreak their devices, so I think I can live with that. I also don't think that people who download pirated versions of $1.99 software would actually buy it if there was no cracked version available.
